Welcome to my writing site at The Hub.  Here you will find many of my stories and poems, including some works that may be exclusive to this site. Before you begin reading my work, let me tell you a little about me.  I was born and raised in Georgia for the first twelve years of my life. Growing up, my bedtime stories came out of Napolean's Conquests, and my favorite movie right after The Lion King was Zulu. (I currently dislike this movie; ah, the wonders of small children.) On Sunday evenings my dad and I watched nature shows, so I'm a relative tree-hugger. I met my best friend in Kindergarden, and we might as well be sisters to this day. I have no biological siblings, so this is important. My dad eventually got a different job, so we moved to North Carolina. He went from taking walks in the woods and building birdhouses to counting beans, and using the mysterious term called 'lean six sigma.' We (my mother and I) are convinced he secretly does work for the CIA, and says this so he doesn't have to kill us. I got my first serious inspiration to write late in 8th grade, and have been improving by leaps and bounds ever since. Recently, I've been trying to put a 'deeper level' into my writing to make it more satisfying to read, and I can only hope I am succeeding.  I have had a box turtle, a small army of fish, and nine gerbils as pets in my sixteen years of life. I'm smart, but mostly surrounded by people at home in Vonage ads. My friends and family are crazy, and I am no exception. (On a sudden, ADD note, I realized that I have the same glasses as David Tennant's Dr. Who character.) So, that's me. Don't say I didn't warn you.
